Buttery Turmeric Rice

5 simple ingredients can turn plain rice into a flavorful side dish! This rice pairs well with a variety of flavors, and is extremely easy to make in a rice cooker. We always make this to serve with Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or Indian dishes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups rice 3 rice cooker cups
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp chicken better than bouillon

Instructions
 

  • Rinse rice a few times until water runs clear.
  • Measure rice and appropriate amount of water into rice cooker or pot. If preparing in rice cooker, add rice first, then add water to the "3" line. If preparing in a pot on the stovetop, use twice as much water as rice.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • For rice cooker, turn on and select "white rice" to cook. For stovetop, cover, bring to a boil, then simmer until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
